Our Story
In the Māori langage of Aotearoa New Zealand, mārama means light and transparency and signifies the moon.
Mission: Mārama is brought to you by the team behind Project:Moonshot, a not-for-profit organisation that was started during the first lockdown in Aotearoa New Zealand in 2020.
Why Mission:Mārama?
Over a five-year period, the Moonshot team delivered a number of initiatives that concluded in early 2025. Their reimagining of the doughnut economic model as Te Takarangi (see animation below) explains why we are Mission:Mārama.
